Aglio e Olio

If you want a quick and easy meal that comprises no more than 4 ingredients and 1 pan, look no further than Aglio e Olio, which means something in Italian but must translate to “easy and still delicious”. This is the dish to make when you’re in the middle of a 16-hour Minecraft marathon, building some statue, home, or world that you will never open again until a week before exam season—at which point you’ll decide it’s more worth it for your time to play video games than do anything to prepare or study.

To make this dish, all you need to do is the following:

  1. Boil water and add salt. Add spaghetti when ready.

  2. Cut garlic & fry a few pieces, save for later. Toast the rest with olive oil.

  3. Take spaghetti out when it is cooked al dente. Add to olive oil.

  4. Cook spaghetti in olive oil, adding parsley & red pepper flakes.

  5. Add back the fried garlic pieces.

  6. EAT.

Truly the dish when you have nothing better to do and want nourishment. 6/10.

  1. Spaghetti (which is not a pasta—we used Great Value)

  2. Olive oil

  3. Garlic (including fried pieces)

  4. Seasonings (parsley & red pepper flakes)
